Hard to believe it's been 8 years since the wrestling world has lost one of it's most beloved workers. Much like Hawk or Owen Hart, I have never heard anyone say a bad thing about Eddie Guerrero other then that he liked to "Lie, Cheat, & Steal" (you get it). On this in 2005 the night before a Monday Night Raw, Eddie Guerrero passed away. He was 38 years of age and the cause of death was a heart failure; if anyone fit the sport entertainment aspect of WWE it was Eddie. Now I am not going to outline Eddie's career because I am going to let the videos below speak for me but I will be telling you how I felt when I found out Eddie passed away.

For the last 15 years I have been watching wrestling my earliest memory is of Road Wild 1998 when Hogan & Bischoff fought DDP & Jay Leno. Yes I grew up during the Attitude Era one of the people I grew up watching was Eddie Guerrero. I didn't realize until I was older how good he was in the ring and how unique his mannerism were that he used to do. He was always out to make sure the fans have the best show possible and 9/10 times if he was on the card the people didn't leave disappointed. When I found out Eddie had died I was in shock so much so that I couldn't believe it until I saw the tribute to him on Raw that night. Over the last 15 years not many things have made have to fight back tears the thing I remember about the night Eddie passed is I was fighting back tears. Anytime I see Eddie vs Brock I get goose bumps when Eddie wins the gold. I guess what I am saying is that it was hard for me to see one of the wrestlers I grew up watching pass away. Especially a great worker, man, respected employee, & legend like Eddie was and still is.

To end it below is a tribute to Eddie & the match that saw him reach the top of the mountain: I hope you enjoy and remember Viva La Rasa
