Over the course of the last few weeks I have been looking back at some of the past great matches that have taken place at Wrestlemania from Kurt Angle vs Brock Lesnar to Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker to The Rock vs Hulk Hogan and many others their is a reason why Wrestlemania is called "The Showcase of the Immortals. It is not because Hulk Hogan main evented 8 straight Wrestlemania's. A lot of matches at Wrestlemania get the fans emotionally invested in the feud and thereby get the fans more excited to see the match because they are so excited for it and have a real emotional interest in who is going to win the match. One of the matches that have happened during the history of Wrestlemania that fits this description perfect was Ric Flair vs Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 24. Numerous people at that point thought Flair's career was over because of his Hall of Fame induction the night before, but that didn't change the amount the invested into the match emotionally. I know people who actually cried when Flair lost knowing that one of the greatest if not the greatest wrestler of all times career was over. Then they also like many people cried the next night when the WWE gave Flair the going away party he rightfully deserved for committing 30 plus years to the wrestling business. Relive both great moments with the videos below:

I just want to add that when I watch the Ric Flair Farewell video I like may people do tear up because I loved watching Ric Flair. In my opinion very few people had as much an influence on the history of the wrestling like Ric Flair. It's shame what happened to Reid and I hope Ric is coping the right way because we aren't ready to him leave and I think he would do a great job helping the next generation learn the business he has invest so much into. This is one of my favorite moments ever in watching wrestling for almost 16 years now this is one of my favorite moments.
